LOS ADENOVIRUS DE ÁLVARO
Álvaro works in the Condensed Matter Physics department at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Adriana works in the company Nanotec Electrónica, SL. They both join in a common project to advance on the study of the structure of adenoviruses, by means of the atomic force microscope.
The main conclusion of this project has been the observation, for the first time, of the sequence of disassembly of the viral structure that causes infection.
EL VIAJE DE UNA DESCONOCIDA
"The voyage of an unknown woman" is a short film directed by The Winged Cranes and the Recovery and Assistant to Abused Women. It is an homage to Jeanne Baret botanist of the 18th Century forgotten until some years ago. In 2011 Glynis Ridley published her biography uncovering the enormous contribution of this scientist to Botany during her voyage around the world on the Bouganville expedition.
